Email Control

I have successfully gotten my work email under 40mb. We have a 50mb limit and for the past few days I have been aggressively deleting, filing and saving emails as html or text documents to get my in box and folders under control. I am excited!

I also found out that I can post to my blog from Google Docs. That's really cool, especially since it means that I don't have to log on to blogger...when I'm at work.

Google Notebook...

I know I mentioned it yesterday, but I just (yes, at 6:30 in the morning) copied and pasted a css tutorial that included screen shots into my Notebook and it's all there. Wow! This may actually save lots of trees. Of course, it would be a really bad thing if I didn't have internet access, but I always have the option to send my notebook to Google Docs and export that as a Word file to save on my computer. However, considering the fact that I live online...I should be okay *crosses fingers*.

I was even able to highlight the sections that I wanted to stand out. I could have changed the font and everything. This may change the way I do research forever...

I Love Google Notebook Too!

It's great. I've been using it (as recommended by someone on some blog) to use it as a to do list. I've created notebooks for work action items as well as personal ones and completed items. I like keeping track of what I've done as opposed to checking it off a list and having it disappear. I was using Ta Da list for a while and it worked fine as well, but I can do other things in my notebooks that makes it a great storage area. I tend to do internet research a lot...so, instead of printing or copying, pasting and saving an article, I can either copy and paste the link in my notebook or grab the text that I like and put it in my notebook. I create notebooks for each of my "research subjects" and it's all organized and accessible from work or home. I love it! I'm now researching how other people use it :)

I Love Google Docs

I love Google Docs. I just coerced my collegue to use it as a collaboration tool so that she can send me exactly what I need and not worry about sending me 50 emails. So far so good...now only if I can save others in my office from the horrible email volleyball that takes up waaaay too much time. I sent an email so people could take a look, but I'm not sure if I'll have any takers. Everyone is so old school and so NOT into working smarter...what a shame :(

New Name

I'm still obsessed with my hair, but I thought I'd blog about other topics every now and then and wanted the title to match. Funny...I did do that bantu knot out experiment, but it didn't create the look I desired. However, it did do a great job of stretching my hair!
